John Lloyd graduated from Abilene Christian University with a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010. He is currently a PhD student at Texas Woman's University focusing on Family Therapy. John really enjoys working with families who are dealing with transitional issues or are having difficulties in communication in general. John prefers to work with the whole family, though individuals may be seen as well.
John's specialty is in systems theory, focusing on the individual within the context of their family, work, and general social environment. John typically utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a way to view the problems his clients are experiencing, but often also uses Solution Focused techniques as a way to help his clients work through their issues.
John strives to maintain a positive and safe atmosphere in therapy so that the client can feel comfortable in making the changes or improvements that they desire in their life.
